November 17th, 2008 was a special day for RFH baseball, as senior pitcher Austin McAuliffe signed his Letter of Intent to play at NJIT, New Jersey's Science and Technology University. The Dawg Report was on hand to get pictures and quotes from the event.

Read on for some quotes from Austin and Coach James after the signing.
Austin: "I feel really good. This is an exciting time. I never thought this would be possible, and it really would not have been possible without the help of my coaches, Coach James, Coach Ojeda, Coach Reynolds, Coach Wilson, and Coach Kelly from my fall ball team. This is just a really exciting time in my life. The baseball team [at NJIT] seems to be up and coming. I've met with the coaches and enjoyed it, and the feel of the campus is great. I am really excited to be in the business program there. I am just excited about everything."
Coach James: "We knew he [Austin] could be pretty good when he came in as a freshman. Austin is a big lefty, very strong, he was just a late bloomer. It took him some to adjust on the mound and understand the baseball concepts. He's always had the ability; for him, it's more about throwing strikes and pitching to batters. It's about [understanding how to] hold runners on and set up hitters. For Austin, it's been over the summer and into the fall that he's grown into a Division I athlete."
